Short Description:High Expectations and Strong Supports Yield Postsecondary Success is the second installment in the Forum for Youth Investment’s Ready by 21, Credentialed by 26 series. This new brief demonstrates that it is in fact possible to insulate the education pipeline for older, vulnerable youth, by providing the supports necessary for their success.
Annotation:This brief describes how YouthBuild Brockton, as part of YouthBuild USA’s Postsecondary Education Initiative, is partnering with Massasoit Community College to move from dropout recovery into postsecondary completion. It also summarizes research on student supports in higher education and features a conversation with Ann Coles, senior associate at the Institute for Higher Education Policy.
