Title:Boosting college completion for a new economy
Source:http://www.boostingcollegecompletion.org/
Date:
Organization:Education Commission of the States
Short Description:Boosting College Completion for a New Economy is a two-year initiative of the Education Commission of the States (ECS) designed to move states from awareness of their college completion challenge to the development, implementation and evaluation of state strategies that increase college attainment rates.
Annotation:Through the Boosting College Completion for a New Economy initiative, ECS will work with legislative and higher education leaders to improve their state economies by increasing the number of residents with a postsecondary credential. With over 60% of jobs requiring some postsecondary education, it is critical for legislators to invest in strategies to ensure that their residents have the skills they need to access these jobs and earn a livable wage.
