Short Description:This indicator measures the degree to which states have policies that allow K–12 and higher education to work together to ensure that students have access to a high school curriculum that will prepare them for success in college.
Annotation:This indicator measures the degree to which states have policies that allow K–12 and higher education to work together to ensure that students have access to a high school curriculum that will prepare them for success in college. The measures that are a part of this indicator include the percentage of states that have alignment between high school standards and college and workplace expectations; the percentage of states with alignment between high school graduation requirements and college and workplace expectations; the percentage of states with college- and career- ready assessment systems; the percentage of states with P-20 longitudinal data systems; and the percentage of states committed to adopting the national common core standards.
