Annotation:This brochure describes the American Diploma Project (ADP) Network and describes the urgent need for improvements to the U.S. educational pipeline to ensure all students are adequately prepared for the demands of the twenty-first century workplace. States participating in the ADP Network are committed to: aligning high school standards with the skills and knowledge required for success after high school, requiring all high school graduates to take coursework that prepares them for life after high school, streamlining the assessment system so that tests students take in high school indicate their level of preparedness for college and work, and holding high schools accountable for graduating students who are ready for college and careers and holding postsecondary institutions accountable for the success of students after they enter college.
