Annotation:This review of opportunities for women and minorities in science, technology, engineering, and math finds that although understanding about the multiple barriers and cumulative disadvantage faced by these students is widespread, most interventions address these barriers individually, rather than comprehensively. Specific areas in need of additional intervetnion are identified.
